Why Join a Growth Group? 

Although there are many reasons why people would visit a church like New Beginnings Chapel, we have found that the primary reason people end up staying at NBC is because of the relationships they develop.  Our experience has shown that the best way to develop relationships is through Growth Groups, the small group ministry of New Beginnings.  Growth Groups are networks of loving and supportive relationships, which help people in their spiritual journey. 

 

One of the best ways to start defining a Growth Group is to point out what it is NOT:

 

A Growth Group is not just:                a Bible study

                                                                  a support group

                                                                  a prayer meeting

                                                                  a task/serving group

                                                                  a social club

 

A Growth Group is a net work of relationships, seeking to help one another engage in community.  As part of the meeting time, the group may participate in any or all of the activities listed above.  However, the group is not defined by any of these;  its focus is not on activities, but on individual members-their care, development, and growth.  Groups stay together for up to 18 months.

You can sum up Growth Groups in one word- RELATIONSHIPS.  It's all about relationships.
